So this is an average, all around blog. I pretty much jump into any fandom!

Hannifashion January Challenge: 30 more days of Alana Bloom

Day 1: Kaiseki - “Come on! Come on! Whoa!”

@fannibalgrowingcircle

This is Alana’s second outfit in Kaiseki, which she wears while she is running the dogs.

Note that her outfit for running around in the mud is kind of ridiculously appropriate, in the same way Hannibal’s quasi-hunting outfit (via @hannibalmeta) was ridiculously appropriate for visiting the Hobbs house back in Potage.

If you look closely at the BTS shot of her petting Winston on Will’s porch, you can see that her Wellington boots have a mock-croc embossed pattern, ideal if a camera were to catch you running around unselfconsciously tossing your hair in the wind. S1/S2 Alana, as an observant friend once pointed out, behaves as if there’s a camera on her at all times. (I mean, more than can be accounted for by the fact that she’s a TV character and literally only exists when a camera is on her. More than that. Which *is* quite a lot.)

She is also wearing a leather moto jacket. All the cool kids of Sassy Science are introduced while wearing leather moto jackets in Apéritif, in contrast to Will’s spoddy tweed blazer. Hannibal gets his leather moto jacket *and* the bike in Antipasto. On Alana, somehow, the leather jacket looks *not the least bit rebellious*. It looks like something you would wear to the first day of school if your implicit doctrine were to fit in with the cool kids, but not fall into the trap of actually being one.

$$$ Alana’s jacket: “The Lamarque jacket (size XS) is made of burgundy colored leather and has a zipper placket with two hip pockets.”

$$ My jacket: burgundy leather fitted bomber jacket, unbranded Spanish leather via eBay.

Alana’s dress: it is a stretch knit in a plum burgundy colour, with a criss-cross drape over the front, and a boat neck. This is not a wrap dress, but it’s close enough to count. Unknown brand.

$$ My dress: Hobbs via eBay. Alana’s crisscross drape seems to be set higher; if not for that I’d wonder if this was an exact match.

Alana’s boots: black mock-croc Wellingtons, unknown brand.

$$ My boots: black mock-croc Wellingtons, Kathy van Zeeland.

The only thing that’s changed since September is that I have replaced the necklace (via @fancybedelia). $ unbranded via eBay.

Also as stated, fishnets tear too easily in contact with knee boots, so I’ll be wearing opaque tights with boots instead.

I promised you Alana hair someday, so here it is, courtesy of BaByliss Hot Sticks. See how unselfconciously I whip my hair back and forth!

However, I think we all know who is the *real* star of this show. Take a bow, Raubart.
